What kind of skin care products should I use?

I'm 25 and I have aging but acne prone skin. I'm having a hard time finding a skin care regiment that works for my weird skin type. Any suggestions?

You may want to take a look at this site: http://www.makeupproducts.com/skin-care-product-reviews/?utm_source=ans&utm_medium=pv&utm_campaign=mup, it has product reviews of different skin care products, ranging from acne treatments to anti-aging products. Not only does the site have product reviews but it also has a variety of brand names and products to choose from if you are interested in finding out other information about different skin care or makeup products.

Hope this is helpful.

How would you feel about a wellness center?

How many of you pregnant and postpartum moms would pay to go to a wellness center and salon? Everything is natural, there are no harmful chemicals anywhere even the hair dye and nail polish would be natural. Would you pay for its services?
well my mother and I want to open a salon/ wellness center specifically for these types of women, I am asking if anyone would pay for our services.

I think it’s a great idea!! Good for you for wanting to pamper yourself:) Just remember to let anyone who gives you a service know that you are pregnant and if you get a massage (pre-natal massage rocks!) then make sure the therapist is well trained in pre-natal massage as there are pressure points on the body that need to be avoided during pregnancy. Also, be aware that if essential oils are used in any of the services, even though they are all natural, essential oils are very powerful and some are strongly contraindicated for pregnant women. Good luck and enjoy:)

What should a fitness center do if a 4 year old boy hits other kids in the daycare at the fitness center?

Step by step procedure.

How many warnings?

Because the one parent feels that child shouldn't even be in the daycare, but I think the fitness center should try to solve the problem without having to kick anybody out.

What do you think or suggest?
Thank you

The fitness center should defer to the parent, tell the parent the behavior and give the parent a warning for what will happen if the behavior does not change….

If the parent gives permission for some sort of discipline then the worker should give one warning then remove the child from the others, make him stay by himself.

Before anything go to the parent.

How does health insurance work in the US?

I am a non-US citizen and need this information to do a case.

Specifically:
1) Is health insurance compulsory for everyone?
2) What happens if someone cannot afford it?
3) In the event that a medical procedure needs to be done, does health insurance cover all the bills? Does the patient need to pay anything extra?
4) Does the patient have any say over what kind of procedure he can take? Say if 2 treatments are available for his condition, can the patient choose the more expensive treatment? And if so, is it covered by the insurance?

Thanks for reading this. Your help in answering any part of the questions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks to those who have responded so far.

I would like to further ask:

Does a health insurance contract state that it will only cover the "normal" rates for a procedure? For eg. if there are 2 possible treatments for a disease, 1 of which is more expensive but more effective than the other, will the patient only be covered by the LESS expensive one?

Or is it a case in which the patient can opt for the more expensive one and "top-up" the difference?

This is a crucial question to my understanding the case. Thanks!

You've asked a very broad question. There is no simple answer.

In truth, health insurance works a little differently in each state.

To answer your specific questions:
1) No, health insurance is not compulsory for everyone. If you're lucky, you are able to join a group policy at work. (If you're really lucky, it's a good policy and the employer pays at least half of it.) Some states have recently made it compulsory, but that's such a recent change that there's no clear cut answer yet for how that's going to work.

2) What happens if someone can't afford it is… they don't get it, usually. Except if your income puts you below the "poverty level", in which case you qualify for Medicaid. (In some states there are programs that typically provide assistance with insuring children, though they are few and far between for covering adults.)

3) Health insurance rarely covers all the bills when you have a procedure done. Most plans cover 50-80% after you meet your deductible. The deductible amounts vary widely (but the trend is that the deductibles are getting higher and higher to keep the premiums down.) If you're really, REALLY lucky, you don't have a deductible (which is only an option on group plans), and you may only have to pay 10% of covered charges. (These plans are few and far between. As in, you might have them if you're in Congress.)

4) Yes, the patient has some say over procedures. However, if the patient opts for an "experimental" procedure, or one that isn't deemed "medically necessary", then health insurance may refuse to cover any charges at all.

In the end, as with most things, the middle class takes the brunt of these costs. This has become such a problem that more than 50% of all bankruptcies are as a result of medical bills (and of those, more than 75% had health insurance.)

** Edited to add:
It's not ALL about the money when a procedure is involved. If it is, the state keeps track of complaints filed on behalf of consumers with "managed care" (ie. any type of network arrangement including Preferred Provider Organizations, Health Maintenance Organizations, and Point of Service organizations — also known as PPO, HMO, and POS) and may very well revoke a company's charter to do business in the state should the company be turning down too many legitimate claims.

However, insurance companies are sticklers for following the "standard" for medical care. This is what makes it difficult to answer your question. Because they should not deny anything that's considered standard for care in the given circumstances (should not and will not being two completely different things, of course.) And there may be several options that would be considered "standard." If the patient wants treatment that isn't yet considered "standard", they would balk. Period.

Diet Healthy Weight Loss Review

by Amanda Gamdana

You would be astounded to discover just how many individuals think that the best way to lose weight is by going hungry and while this does work in the short term, you will not find one physician that would ever recommend this severe course of action.

Only healthy weight loss diets are preferred by doctors who warn against desperate moves, as then the body not only becomes weaker, but it fails to fight any infection subsequently. The best healthy weight loss diets would recommend two things: keep the calories limited to the exact requirement and supply the body with necessary nutrients during dieting.

Usually people ignore the importance of a good nights’ sleep for the upkeep of good health, which is as essential as burning those excess calories. Sometimes the women’s’ periodicals are the real culprit in pushing these fad diet plans, which are not backed by any scientific data or trials and they somehow convince the readers that these are supposed healthy weight loss plans.

For example when they say that you ought to take boiled chicken, with vegetables fruits and salads, they are not saying anything wrong, but a healthy weight loss diet would have asked you to take other vital nutrients, which may not be present in the diet just mentioned. Weight watchers who pursue this type of diet plans with these food groups may actually lose weight and feel good about it, but ultimately they would not be able to reach their weight loss goals, as the whole exercise turns extremely boring after sometime.

If you want to be on the right track for your healthy weight loss diet, all you need to remember is not to eat foods with a high calorific value, keep up the daily physical exercise, even if it is walking for thirty minutes, and make sure you rest well. It might surprise you but sleep has amazing benefits which the medical fraternity is now realizing and this is a common problem with people who have weight related issues, who love to overeat during dinner, often forgetting what they have done.

If you are one of those individuals who get up in the middle of the night to stuff yourself, you are not only damaging your body, you are also putting your healthy weight loss diet plan with exercise, to no use. The result of following a healthy weight loss plan does not take too long to show up as you feel lighter, happier, energetic and you rest better and all these mean that your chances of falling sick also decrease.

Another facet of a healthy weight loss diet is personal involvement and self-impression about the actual transformation, for example: being too severe and demanding your self, could sometimes do more bad than good. The thing to remember is that you cannot anticipate slimming down overnight, and most obese individuals normally take up over-tiring physical exercises anticipating miracles from their bodies.

To ensure any healthy weight loss program works for you, you have to back it with regular physical exercising, which is where overweight people tend to overdo, but remember start slowly with regular jogging or swimming and when your energy levels have increased, join a gym. The moot point here is that you should take one step at a time and never try to overdo anything until such times that you feel completely happy with your physical exertions.
